 1881-1968. Senior Fellow of Eton College (from 1933). Associate Fellow of Berkeley College, Yale. Knight Commander of the Order of Redeemer (Greece). Was tutor to Rupert Brooke when he first came up to Cambridge. He was made a Trustee of Brooke's but was content to let Geoffrey Keynes, and Dudley Ward make the decisions. He went on to become Provost of Kings College 1933-1954. MBE MA Published: Greek Tragedy (Cambridge Manuals), The Edipus Tyrannus of Sophocles (translated and explained), The Pattern of the Iliad, Aeschylus and Sophocles (their work and influence). Address in 1937, Kings College Cambridge. Used to translate and produce Greek plays.
